Darkness seeps into the Siliguri District Hospital on power failure

Siliguri, 21st September: Siliguri District Hospital faced a power outage where different wards from emergency faced a black-out. Doctors, nurses, patients, and hospital staff had to face a lot of trouble due to the power cut.

Reportedly, today, the generator in the hospital did not turn on after the power went out in the hospital. Due to this, there was no electricity in all the wards and observation wards. This led to a great problem in their work as the employees had to work with the help of mobile light and torch light. Not only this, but patients also faced problems as they had to walk upstairs to the second and third floors due to the closure of the lift.

In this regard, hospital superintendent Dr. Chandan Ghosh said that the Electricity Department of Public Works Department investigated the matter. It was learned that the generator broke down and thus the hospital faced a power outage for about two hours.
