Darjeeling, 24th April: Amid the second wave of COVID-19, Darjeeling reported another death of a woman after testing positive for the virus. With this, the death toll in Darjeeling has reached 04.
Health Officer of Darjeeling Hospital Dr S Chanda informed that a 66-year-old woman died at the Darjeeling District Hospital at 11 pm Friday. The deceased was a resident of Darjeeling Municipality.
According to hospital sources, the woman was admitted to the hospital for treatment yesterday. A COVID-19 test was carried out, which came back positive. She was admitted immediately and at the time, the woman’s oxygen level was 35 percent low. Her body was cremated today morning following the COVID protocol.
