Siliguri, 05th November: For the last few months, dengue has been creating havoc in the city and even claimed the lives of many including children. Many parties and leaders from the opposition have accused SMC of not handling the crisis well. Protests are organized as well and this time the Youth Congress protested in front of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation.
Congress leaders and workers alleged that the SMC is not working to control the spread. Today, the Darjeeling District Youth Congress organized a rally where the leaders and workers reached in front of the SMC. The party members staged a sit-in protest carrying mosquito nets and putting the face of the Mayor on the picture of a mosquito. However, they were not allowed to enter the premises.
