Darjeeling, 13th May: Darjeeling district, including Siliguri municipal area and parts of Jalpaiguri, recorded alarming 612 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.
According to the information received, 391 COVID-19 cases have been reported from Siliguri municipal area, 13 from Darjeeling municipality, 24 from Sukna, 10 from Kurseong municipality, 13 from Mirik, 12 from Bijanbari, 07 from Sukhia Pokhari, 06 Takdah, 29 Kharibari, 134 from Matigara, 41 from Naxalbari and 32 from Phansidewa. A total of 490 cases are from SMC including the Jalpaiguri portion.
150 cases have been recovered including home isolation patients (*this discharge figures don’t include discharge from private hospitals and defence establishment)
