Naxalbari, 21st September: The preparations for Durga Puja are in the final stages. In regard to this, the Darjeeling District Police released Durga Puja Guide Map by holding a meeting with all the Puja committees to conduct the celebration in a peaceful manner.
District Superintendent of Police Santosh Nimbalkar, Additional Superintendent of Police Manoranjan Ghosh, SDPO Naxalbari Achintya Gupta, and Deputy Commissioner Priyanka Singh were present in the said meeting held at Naxalbari Community Hall. Apart from the release of the guide map, the state government’s grant cheques were also handed over to the members of 06 puja committees.
In this regard, SDPO Naxalbari Achintya Gupta said that a total of 165 worship committee members from 03 police stations were present in today’s meeting. Today cheques have been handed over to the members of 06 committees and the rest will be handed over in the coming days.
