Siliguri, 30th March: The Darjeeling District Mahila Trinamool Congress staged a rally in Siliguri protesting against the abnormal rise in prices of petroleum products and daily necessities.
It has been learned that the rally commenced from Baghajatin Park in Siliguri and ended at Mahatma Gandhi More. The rally was led by Darjeeling District Trinamool Congress President Papiya Ghosh, SMC Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, Darjeeling District Trinamool Congress Chairman Alok Chakraborty, and District Women TMC President Jyoti Tirkey.
Papiya Ghosh said, “Today’s rally is to protest against the increase in the price of petroleum products. Petroleum products and cooking gas should be brought under GST.”
