Dabgram Mandal BJP leaders and workers detained on the charge of breaching lockdown restrictions

Siliguri, 07th May: Several Dabgram Mandal BJP workers were forcefully detained under the charge of breaching the lockdown restrictions.


As per the reports, the BJP leaders, on Thursday, staged a protest outside the Dabgram Aanchal office against ration corruption and unnecessary opening of liquor shops amid the ongoing lockdown. While staging a demonstration in this regard, they were allegedly detained by the Ashighar outpost police for breaching the government protocols and not maintaining social distance.

The Jalpaiguri BJP Vice President Shikha Chattopadhyay, Dabram Mandal President Dilip Mandal, General Secretary Amit Jha, Chandan Roy, and many other leaders were detained in the incident.


Dilip Mandal accused the State Government of ration corruption amid the lockdown and further criticized the reopening of liquor shops during such a crisis.
