Cybercriminals stole cash from Siliguri’s retired worker’s account forging fingerprint

Siliguri, 29th December: Cybercriminals are trying ways to siphon off people’s hard-earned money. They have been adopting new tactics to carry out their criminal activities. Nowadays, they have learned a new way to siphon off money through fingerprints as well. Cybercriminals are using new tricks to embezzle bank accounts without one’s authentication by creating one’s fingerprint. This time, the cybercriminals have stolen money from the accounts of a retired railway worker from Siliguri using fingerprints. 


Krishnendu Guha Roy, a resident of Siliguri’s Bhaktinagar area, is a retired railway worker. On December 27 and 28, cybercriminals embezzled Rs 20,000 from his account in two phases. After this, he gave this information to the bank officials and the police. Krishnendu Guha Roy said that his family depends on a pension and has no idea how the money disappeared from his account. 

On the other hand, based on the message, the police are confident that the fingerprint of the Aadhaar card has been used in it.
