Siliguri, 05th December: The horrific fire incident in Ward No. 18 affected several families. CPI (M) has extended a helping hand to the families.
Today CPI (M) No. 03 Area Committee members handed over food items and warm clothes. During this, CPM leader Ashok Bhattacharya, Jibesh Sarkar, Councilor Sharadendu Chakraborty, Dipt Karmakar, and Moushumi Hazra were present.
Ashok Bhattacharya said that apart from food items, the affected families need a permanent place. Thus, he appealed that the said lands should be made permanent through lease grants.
