CPI(M) starts signature campaign alleging failure of Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad in development

Siliguri, 01st March: The Darjeeling district CPI(M) on Wednesday organized a mass signature program in Naxalbari alleging Siliguri Mahakma Parishad of failure in development. At the same time, the CPI(M) leaders also warned of gheraoing the Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad.


 

 


On Wednesday, from the party office in Naxalbari to the entire Naxalbari, a signature campaign was organized on behalf of the CPI(M). On this occasion, District Secretary of CPI(M) Saman Pathak, District President of CITU Gautam Ghosh, Secretary of Naxalbari Area Committee Vikas Chakraborty and others were present.

 

During this, Saman Pathak said that the land mafia and sand business is dominant in the Siliguri area. While the villagers are not getting access to drinking water. Altogether, the Mass Signature Program has been started on 12-point demands. He further added that the Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad will be gheraoed by taking the signatures of one lakh people. The said program will run till March 15. 

 

At the same time, CITU District President Gautam Ghosh expressed anger over the work of the Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad.
