Siliguri, 04th September: The CPI(M) Area Committee No. 1 staged protests accusing the state’s ruling party of conspiring to shut down the labour department. In this context, a 6-point memorandum was also submitted to the officials of the Dagapur Labour Office.
As per the information, the labour office located in Ward No. 47 under Siliguri Municipal Corporation has been closed for the past 6 months. Despite having proper infrastructure, the office is not being opened.
Organization Secretary Sangram Dey Das, CPI(M) leader and Coordinator of Ward No. 47 Rita Oraon and many others were present during the demonstration.
