CPI(M) march in the street accusing Siliguri Municipal Corporation of failing to tackle dengue

Siliguri, 10th November: With the increasing dengue cases in the city, the Siliguri Municipal Corporation board is continuously facing the wrath of the people and the allegations of opposition parties. On Thursday too, the former Mayor and MLA of Siliguri Ashok Bhattacharya, while addressing the media, accused the Trinamool Congress-led Siliguri Municipal Corporation of failing to fight dengue. Making similar allegations, CPI(M) Branch Committee No. 22 took to the streets this morning.

Ashok Bhattacharya was spotted distributing leaflets and interacting with the people. He said that by going to the grass root level and raising awareness regarding dengue among the people will help contain the disease a lot faster. But due to the lack of coordination and management of the present SMC board, the residents of the city are suffering, the Left leader further added.
