Naxalbari, 13th September: In support of the 14-point demands, the CPI (M) submitted a memorandum to the Naxalbari BDO. Today CPI (M) organized a rally that commenced from Naxalbari Ghatani More to the Naxalbari BDO office.
After this, a memorandum demanding payment of hundred days of work and arrears, punishment to the corrupt involved in SSC and TET corruption, action against land mafia, beginning solid waste management work in Naxalbari, DI fund land transfer, minimum wages of tea workers and lease to workers. The said memorandum with the following demands was submitted to the BDO of Naxalbari in support of the total 14-point demands.
In this regard, District Committee member Goutam Ghosh said that a memorandum has been submitted to the BDO on various issues in the remote areas of Naxalbari. If the demands are not met, they will launch a massive agitation in the coming days.
