CPI (M) stages a rally in Siliguri protesting against inflation in gas price

Siliguri, 13th February: A rally was staged, in Siliguri, by the CPI (M) Darjeeling District Committee against the Central Government. The rally commenced and concluded at the Anil Biswas Bhavan (CPI (M) Party office) after touring the various routes of the city.


The Siliguri Municipal Corporation Mayor Ashok Bhattacharya, CPI (M) leader Jibesh Sarkar and many other leaders and activists were present at the rally. Mayor Ashok Bhattacharya stated that the Central Government had promised to end the inflation of prices of commodities. However, the prices of commodities including LPG, Petrol, and Diesel have been increasing constantly, since the Central Government came into power. So, a rally was staged, today, condemning the role of the Central Government. Bhattacharya further warned of staging larger demonstrations if the Central Government does not reduce the prices of LPG.
