According to the latest data released by the Union Ministry of Health, the total COVID-19 cases in India have crossed the 28,000-mark with current numbers at 28,380 while 6362 have been cured of the virus.
Meanwhile, in West Bengal, the total number of positive cases escalated to 504 while 109 have been cured.
The state has confirmed 20 deaths due to COVID-19 to date.
