COVID-19 Impact: India-Nepal bus services resume after a year and a half

Siliguri, 09th November: After a year and a half, India-Nepal bus services resumed from Monday. The bus left Siliguri for Kathmandu on Tuesday. Reportedly, the bus service was suspended for a long time in view of the pandemic.


Tourists and passengers will be able to reach Kathmandu directly from Siliguri in 14-16 hours. However, passengers will need a COVID double dose certificate or a negative report of coronavirus test taken within 72 hours. Earlier the fare was Rs 1,250 but now it has been increased to Rs 1,500. Citizens of India must show Aadhaar card or voter card as proof. On Tuesday, 16 passengers boarded the bus from Siliguri.
