Fulbari, 04th March: A country-made pistol and four rounds of ammunition were recovered from the Purba Amadighi area of Fulbari II Gram Panchayat (GP) on Tuesday, causing panic among residents.
According to local sources, a woman passing by the road in the afternoon noticed a bag containing iron objects. Upon opening it, she was shocked to find a country-made pistol and four rounds of ammunition. Hearing her screams, locals gathered at the spot and immediately informed the NJP police station.
Police arrived at the scene and recovered the firearms and ammunition. An investigation has been launched to determine how the weapons ended up there.
Meanwhile, frequent incidents of theft in the area have already raised concerns. The recovery of firearms has further heightened fear among residents, who are now demanding increased police surveillance.
