Rajganj, 11th June: Police busted a country liquor manufacturing den during a raid near the North Bengal Farm area under Shikarpur Gram Panchayat in Rajganj. The operation was carried out by Belakoba Outpost police along with women police personnel on Thursday morning following a tip-off.
During the search, police recovered three liquor-making setups, six aluminium pots, two flannels, 30 kg of jaggery, around 60 litres of ready-made country liquor and nearly 200 litres of fermented wash stored in 10 plastic jars.
All the recovered liquor and liquor-making materials were destroyed at the spot by the police.
Police suspect that the market value of the seized items exceeds ₹1 lakh. The process of registering a case against the accused has been initiated, while efforts are underway to trace the absconding accused.
