Coronavirus scare: Empty shopping malls in Siliguri

Siliguri, 15th March: The total number of confirmed Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in India has escalated to 93, with two deaths that have been reported so far. In this regard, the Government of West Bengal has announced that all government institutions will remain closed from March 16 to 31.


The effects of growing concerns over coronavirus are now being acutely felt in Siliguri, as 80 percent of the population is avoiding public places such as markets and malls even on Sundays.

    According to one of my neighbor who stays in islampur-733202, she has been informed that two people affected with covid 19 had come from bengaluru to islampur and admitted to islampur hospital.
