Balurghat, 01st June: With the fifth phase of the nationwide lockdown (Unlock 1.0) in effect, a couple from Balurghat, adhering to the social distancing norms, tied the knot wearing masks and with only a handful of guests.
As the date for the marriage of Rajat Karmakar, a resident of Balurghat Congress para and Rupa Kurnur, a resident of Shanti Colony was already fixed 6 months ago, both the families decided to keep the wedding a low-key affair in the wake of the lockdown imposed due to COVID-19 outbreak.
As per the information, all the precautionary methods were adopted to avoid the spread of COVID-19.
