Congress organize ‘Path Sabha’ in Rajganj

Rajganj, 25th July: In support of several allegations against the state and central government, including attacks on journalists, Pegasus issue and increase in the prices of petroleum products in this state as well as in different parts of the country. the Congress organized a ‘Path Sabha’ in Rajganj. Later a rally was also taken out in Rajganj market.


It is to recall, on Friday TMC’s SC/ST/OBC cell went to submit a memorandum to the Trinamool-led Sukhani Gram Panchayat Pradhan. Several TMC activists marched with party flags and reached the gram panchayat office. However, as they were not allowed to enter the office, a dispute broke out between the two groups of the party. Allegedly, 7 journalists were attacked at that time by the party workers. They were rushed to Rajganj Rural Hospital for treatment.


Condemning the incident, Nirmal Ghosh Dastidar, Vice President of West Bengal Pradesh Congress, accused the state and central government of trying to silence the media. He alleged that journalists are being attacked and killed in different parts of the state and the country.

Apart from Nirmal Ghosh Dastidar, Rajganj Block President of Congress Devvrat Nag and other leaders were present during the meeting.
