Siliguri, 11th September: A joint conference of the Siliguri and Jalpaiguri branches of the Central Bank of India Employees Association and Central Bank of India Officers Union was held today at a private hotel in Siliguri’s SF Road.
Even though their main conference was held in Kolkata, all the districts attended the conference virtually following the COVID measures. Through this conference, there was opposition to the privatization of banks. Besides, several demands were also raised on customer service issues.
SF Road Branch Manager of Central Bank of India Shantanu Chakraborty, Jalpaiguri Kadamtala Branch Manager Soumyadeep Dubey, Bidhannagar Branch manager Bhaswati Nandi, Subrata Roy, and others were present at the conference.
