Collision between tea-leaf laden pickup van and lorry in Maynaguri leaves 2 injured

Jalpaiguri, 26th April: A road accident occurred in the Maynaguri area of Jalpaiguri district on Sunday, leaving two people injured.

According to reports, a pickup van loaded with tea leaves collided head-on with a lorry near Dharla Bridge. The impact of the collision was severe, causing major damage to the front portion of the pickup van.

The driver and co-driver of the pickup van sustained injuries in the accident. Locals rushed to the spot after the incident and informed the police.

Police reached the location, rescued the injured with the help of locals, and sent them to a nearby hospital for treatment. The damaged vehicles were removed to restore normal traffic movement, and an investigation has been initiated.
