Cooch Behar, 31st July: A grand inauguration ceremony marked the opening of a magnificent swimming pool at the Rajbari Stadium complex in Cooch Behar. The pool, constructed with an estimated investment of approximately Rs 7 crore, promises to offer top-notch facilities to the residents of the district. The event saw the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Cooch Behar District Magistrate Pawan Kadian, former North Bengal Development Council Chairman Rabindra Nath Ghosh, Cooch Behar District Superintendent of Police Sumit Kumar, and other notable personalities.
The much-awaited moment came to fruition on Monday when the North Bengal Development Department officially handed over the swimming pool to the Cooch Behar District Administration. Citizens of all ages are welcome to indulge in the pool’s offerings from 6:00 am to 8:40 pm daily. A separate time slot has been designated exclusively for women. Following the inauguration, a palpable air of happiness swept through the district as the residents eagerly embraced the addition of this modern recreational facility.
