Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee extends public apology for Egra incident 

State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee made a public apology for the tragic incident that occurred in Egra, where an illegal firecracker factory explosion claimed several lives. Today, the Chief Minister visited Egra and personally handed over compensation checks of Rs 2.5 lakh each to the families of the deceased. Additionally, appointment letters for home guard positions were given to each member of the victim’s family.


During her visit, CM Banerjee expressed her remorse to the people of Egra and bowed down before them. She said, “I apologize to all of you for this incident. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to assist you.” With the visit to Egra, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee conveyed her deep condolences to the bereaved families.
