Siliguri, 19th July: The Champasari SJDA Market Committee has taken various initiatives regarding safety inside the market as well as to prevent the third wave of the pandemic.
The committee held a meeting with the Siliguri SDO today, where security arrangements were discussed, including market sanitation, ban on the use of plastics.
Masks and sanitizers were later distributed to the traders on behalf of the Market Committee in the presence of SDO. Awareness was also raised among the traders regarding COVID protocols.
Madan Bhattacharya, a member of the Champasari SJDA Market Committee, said various steps will be taken in the future to curb the spread of the virus. In today’s meeting, the SDO assured to help them in every possible way.
