Siliguri, 01st May: The Central government team, on Friday, visited the Galgalia area near the Bihar-Bengal border and interacted with the locals to analyze the current work situation in the area.
Following which, the team inspected the Panitanki area near the Indo-Nepal border, where they held a discussion with the SSB officials to ensure whether all the government protocols were being followed.
Addressing the media, team member Binit Joshi stated that the Union Home Ministry has declared Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, and few other districts as Red Zones keeping in mind all the guidelines. He further raised questions on the role of the Police administration and stated that the Siliguri Police Commissioner did not attend the meeting that was called to discuss the current COVID-19 situation.
