Central forces personnel help ailing voter reach polling booth on wheelchair in Jalpaiguri

Jalpaiguri, 23rd April: A humane moment was witnessed at Booth No. 17/107 of a government girls’ school in Jalpaiguri, where a Central Armed Police Forces personnel assisted an unwell voter by taking him to the polling station on a wheelchair.

The voter, identified as Sudhin Bhowmik, a resident of Ward No. 8 in Jalpaiguri town, was unable to reach the booth on his own due to health issues.

To ensure he could exercise his franchise, the security personnel arranged a wheelchair immediately and personally escorted him to the polling booth.

The act of assistance was widely appreciated, with the voter expressing happiness over the gesture and support received during the voting process. The incident highlighted a compassionate side of election duty amid the polling arrangements.
