Candidates caught cheating in Food Sub Inspector exam in Siliguri, 5 arrested

Siliguri, 17th March: On March 16, the WBPSC Food Sub Inspector (Food SI) exam was conducted in Siliguri along with the rest of the state. During the examination, five candidates were caught with mobile phones at the examination centers under the jurisdiction of three police stations of Siliguri Metropolitan Police.


As per the details received, Food SI examination was organized at Bharti Hindi High School under Pradhan Nagar police station on Saturday where three candidates Tanmay Paul, Md Saddam and Ananda Das were attempting to cheat using mobile phones. During this, all three candidates were caught red handed and the cops of Pradhan Nagar police station were informed. The police promptly arrived at the exam centre and arrested them.

Meanwhile, another candidate Sumangal Chowdhury was arrested by Siliguri Police for using unfair means from the examination center in Siliguri Netaji High School. In another incident, Matigara police have also arrested a candidate Joyjit Das from the examination center in Kabi Sukanta High School. On Sunday, all the accused have been presented before the Siliguri court. At present, the police are engaged in investigating the incidents.
