Siliguri, 12th March: Cancer awareness camp was organized at Maynaguri College, in collaboration with Manisha Nandi Foundation under the aegis of NSS unit of the college. Cancer specialist Dr. Saptarshi Ghosh was present in the camp to raise awareness about cancer among college students and professors. The students were mainly made aware of breast cancer, as well as some other cancer.
Dr. Saptarshi Ghosh explained the symptoms of cancer and the methods to follow if diagnosed with the disease. The doctor maintained that it was important to hold such a camp as many young adults are being diagnosed with different types of cancer.
“If the disease is caught early, it can be cured with treatment. Such a camp will help people become aware of cancer,” he further added.
