Kharibari, 18th March: A passenger bus in Panitanki under Kharibari police station lost control and crashed into a roadside shop on Wednesday.
According to the information, the bus was travelling from Siliguri towards Kharibari, when a speeding motorbike tried to overtake the bus. In an attempt to save the bike rider, the bus lost control and crashed into a shop.
Around five people were injured in the incident. The locals rescued the injured and took them to Naxalbari Hospital, where two amongst the others were referred to Noth Bengal Medical College and Hospital.
Maniram Barman, the owner of the shop said that a few people were at his shop when the incident took place. All goods in the shop have been completely damaged. Meanwhile, the police reached the spot and are investigating the whole incident.
