Siliguri, 01st April: A burglary has been reported at the house of a civic volunteer in the Laxmijote area of Fulbari No. 2 gram panchayat under NJP police station.
The matter came to light when Gita Jha, a civic volunteer, returned home and noticed that the gate lock was broken. She claimed that Rs 10,000 cash and several gold-silver ornaments were stolen.
Meanwhile, the NJP police reached the spot after receiving the news. The police have started an investigation into the whole incident.
