Rajganj, 01st November: Sensation prevailed after a burglary was reported in Mayer Iccha Kalibari adjacent to Uttarkanya, on Sunday late night.
It has been learned that the theft took place at the said Kali Mandir in Kamrangaguri under Fulbari 1 gram panchayat. The temple committee informed that gold-silver jewellery and puja utensils worth around 2 lakh rupees have been stolen.
In this regard, priest Swapan Chakraborty said that the theft incident came to light when he arrived this morning. Various gold ornaments have been stolen. The NJP police have been asked to recover the stolen items and punish the culprits as well as increase police patrolling in the area.
