Siliguri, 21st January: Several materials were stolen from an under-construction government building at Jabravita adjacent to NJP area. The building is being constructed with the financial assistance of the North Bengal Development Office.
A written complaint was lodged at the NJP police station in December on behalf of the said office. The police launched investigations immediately and successfully arrested three people on Wednesday.
The arrested accused have been identified as Ravi Sarkar, Haran Sarkar, and Govinda Mahato, residents of the Jabravita area. Several stolen items have been recovered from their possession. They were produced before the Jalpaiguri court on Thursday.
