Siliguri, 19th August: Attempts were made to rob a gold jewellery shop at Murder More in Fulbari Paschim Dhantala, late Wednesday night. The incident created a stir in the entire area.
The shop owner said that he owns a gold shop in the said area. After hearing noises, the locals rushed to the spot and spotted that the shutter of the shop was broken. However, the miscreants managed to escape the scene. Fortunately, nothing could be stolen.
Meanwhile, local businessmen and residents have demanded police patrolling in the area. The NJP police have started an investigation into the incident.
