Siliguri, 5th October: Buildings in Melli are standing dangerously on the edge of the Teesta River. The soil beneath has collapsed due to the flow of water leaving numerous houses near Melli stand in an alarming condition.
As per reports, several families in Melli have been displaced from their homes, since Wednesday, and moved to a safer location. Notably, the condition in which the buildings stand left residents in fear of collapse, making them monitor the situation closely over the night.
