BSNL employees go on strike in Siliguri demanding payment of salary dues

Siliguri, 12th November: Temporary employees are staging a protest in front of various offices of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) demanding the payment of pending salaries. The workers in Siliguri too are on strike in front of the BSNL office for the last 12 days demanding the payment of their salary of 16 months.

The workers alleged that despite repeatedly informing the management regarding the same, their problems were not solved. Hence, they had no other option than to go on a strike from November 01. The temporary employees of BSNL accused the management of being fully responsible for the problems faced by the common people due to the strike.
