Rajganj, 26th March: To commemorate the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and celebrate the golden jubilee of Bangladesh’s independence, a retreat programme was organized at Fulbari border, on Friday. The BSF (Border Security Force) and BGB (Border Guard Bangladesh) jointly organized various events including a retreat between the two countries.
In this regard, BSF’s North Bengal Frontier IG Sunil Kumar said that India and Bangladesh always had good relations. A few days ago, a Maitri bicycle rally was organized on the birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. A retreat and parade were held today to commemorate the Independence Day of Bangladesh and to observe the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur.
Sunil Kumar IG North Bengal Frontier BSF and Siliguri Police Commissioner DP Singh were present at the programme.
