Malda, 17th February: Based on a tip-off, the English Bazar Police launched an operation at Malda’s Kani More area on Sunday night and arrested 2 college students, identified as Rinki Sinha and Raju Mandal, on the charge of smuggling brown sugar.
As per the report, 500 grams of brown sugar, 2 mobile phones and 2 thousand rupees were seized from their possession. The arrested accused were produced before the Malda District Court on Monday.
