Siliguri, 01st October: Sensation prevailed after a young girl was found lying unconscious near Darjeeling More under Pradhan Nagar police station. The girl’s identity could not be ascertained till the time of reporting.
According to the information, on Friday evening, at some distance from Darjeeling More traffic point, a Toto driver was seen dumping the girl’s body by some local children. As the news spread like wildfire, a crowd of people gathered in the said area.
Upon receiving the news, the Pradhan Nagar police reached the spot, recovered the body and took it to the hospital. However, the doctors declared the girl dead. Police have initiated an investigation and are searching for the identity of the deceased girl and the Toto driver.
