Body of missing minor recovered from Tipu River in Bagdogra

Bagdogra, 11th July: In a tragic incident, after a gruelling 17-hour search operation, Disaster Management personnel recovered the lifeless body of a minor boy who had drowned in Tipu River in Bagdogra. The deceased has been identified as Abhi Krishna Dungdung. It was reported that Abhi Krishna had gone to the river for a bath on Monday when he lost his balance while swimming and drowned.


The police have taken charge of the situation and sent the body to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem examination. In an effort to prevent similar incidents in the future, authorities have decided to install statutory warning boards and emergency contact numbers along the riverbank. Additionally, the administration has issued directives to take legal action against individuals found bathing in the river.
