Siliguri, 29th February: The body of an elderly man was found hanging from a noose in Rana Colony of the Patiram Jote area under Matigara Gram Panchayat. The deceased has been identified as Priyanath Barman (70).
According to sources, the family members sighted Priyanath’s body hanging from a noose, today morning. The Police were soon informed about the incident. Upon receiving the news, the Matigara Police reached the spot, recovered the body and sent it to the North Bengal Medical College Hospital for an autopsy. The Police are further investigating the entire incident.
