Siliguri, 16th March: Sensation prevailed in the area after the blood-soaked body of a security guard was found in Fulbari. The deceased has been identified as Dipankar Das, a resident of Falakata area of Cooch Behar.
Reportedly, Dipankar Das was the caretaker of vacant land in the Laxmi Jote area of the Fulbari No. 2 zone under the aegis of a private security organization. NJP police recovered his blood-soaked body from the said land on Wednesday night. According to the information, multiple injury marks from a sharp weapon have been found on several parts of the deceased’s body.
At present, the family members of the deceased have lodged a complaint of murder at the police station. They stated that they tried reaching Dipankar over the call several times on Wednesday night. When they did not get any response, they then reached the security agency and then went to Dipankar’s work site and found his blood-soaked body.
As soon as the news was received, the police reached the spot and recovered the body, and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for postmortem. NJP police have started investigating the entire incident.
