Siliguri, 15th February: The Employees Union of New Jalpaiguri branch has extended its hand again to overcome the shortage of blood in the city. Employees Union organized 17th blood donation camp at Sabha Bhawan on the occasion of its foundation day.
Members of the union including Secretary of the first branch Ranjay Chand, President of the second branch Prabir Dey, Secretary Bhaskar Tar, Dipankar Roy, and Mithun Chakraborty were present in the said blood donation camp.
Employees of NJP Railway Station of Katihar Division donated blood in large numbers in the said blood donation camp today. A total of 50 units of blood have been collected from the said camp. The collected blood has been sent to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital and Siliguri Sadar Hospital.
