Kaliaganj, 26th August: Block Trinamool Congress submitted a memorandum to Kaliaganj BDO of Uttar (North) Dinajpur district in support of various demands. Today, the Trinamool activists took out a protest rally and reached the BDO’s office and submitted the memorandum.
TMC alleged that out of the 8 gram panchayats in the Kaliaganj block, the BJP and the Congress own 7 panchayats. The names of needy people from these areas are missing from the list prepared for housing scheme Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojanas.
They demanded the pratice of asking the poor people money on pretext of providing a house should be stopped immediately. The memorandum submitted to the BDO consisted of other several other demands.
