Blast in front of TMC Zonal President’s house in Mathabhanga, allegations levelled against BJP

Cooch Behar, 11th April: Sensation prevailed after a bomb exploded in front of Trinamool Congress’s Zonal President Sanjay Biswas’ house in the Mathabhanga Pachagarh Gram Panchayat No. 01 area. The locality was rocked by a loud blast late Monday night. 


Sanjay Biswas and the locals rushed out on the street and found a fresh bomb lying nearby. After this the police were informed and a team of cops from Mathabhanga police station reached the spot and recovered the explosive.

Speaking in this regard, the TMC leader stated that he woke up to the sound of an explosion outside his house. He added that a thick blanket of smoke had engulfed the entire area. Biswas claimed the event to be an act of the opposition as the Panchayat election is just around the corner. He said that he will file a complaint at the police station against the incident.


Responding to the allegations levelled against them, BJP’s No. 04 Circle President Shekhar Roy denied any involvement of the party and called it a factional dispute of Trinamool Congress instead.
