Fulbari, 12th August: Fulbari I Gram Panchayat witnessed a change in control as BJP took over the panchayat, ending TMC’s long-standing control.
The 30-member Gram Panchayat was earlier controlled by TMC with 24 members. BJP secured the support of 18 members, including 12 TMC members, crossing the majority mark of 16.
Following the majority, BJP formally took control of the Gram Panchayat. BJP’s Dayal Roy took charge as the new Pradhan.
BJP workers and supporters celebrated the change in control by playing with saffron-coloured powder.
