BJP submitted a letter to Home Minister concerning MLA Devendra Nath Roy’s death

BJP National General Secretary Kailash Vijaywargiya and BJP delegation, on Tuesday, submitted a letter to Home Minister Amit Shah concerning Hematabad MLA Devendra Nath Roy’s suspicious death.


It is to be noted that the 59-year-old MLA’s body was found hanging from the verandah ceiling of a mobile shop located a kilometre away from his residence.


The BJP has termed Roy’s death a “cold-blooded murder” and has alleged the involvement of Trinamool Congress. The party called for a 12-hour strike across the entire North Bengal has been called by the Bharatiya Janata Party, as a sign of protest.

A delegation led by party General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya, met President Ram Nath Kovind on Tuesday, seeking a CBI inquiry into the suspicious death of the MLA and further demanded the removal of the Mamata Banerjee led Trinamool Congress government in West Bengal.
