BJP MP Khagen Murmu launches sharp attack on TMC at Bagdogra Airport, claims party is “on the verge of collapse”

Siliguri, 03rd June: Malda North BJP MP Khagen Murmu, who arrived at Bagdogra Airport to attend a Railway Standing Committee meeting, launched a sharp attack on the Trinamool Congress while speaking to reporters on Wednesday.

Murmu claimed that the TMC has “already lost its existence” and said the party is on the verge of collapse. He further alleged that people had long been deprived of rights and accused the state government of ignoring incidents of violence against women, which he said led to public demand for change.

He also alleged that the TMC government had disrespected the President and referred to an earlier incident in Nagarakata, claiming that even his visit to a flood-affected area had been downplayed by the Chief Minister.

Commenting on internal developments within the TMC, he said the party was “breaking apart like a house of cards” and claimed that only Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee would remain in the future political structure.

Murmu also referred to the implementation of the Annapurna Yojana, stating that benefits were being distributed as promised and as per earlier commitments.

On the arrest of TMC spokesperson Jay Prakash Majumdar, he said that anyone involved in corruption or criminal activities would face action and “no one would be spared,” adding that the stance had been repeatedly clarified by the leadership.
