Siliguri, 28th November: After the Easter Bypass accident, a rally was staged today under the leadership of BJP MLA Shikha Chatterjee following which, a memorandum was submitted at the police station on multiple demands.
Leaders of the party, including MLA Shikha Chatterjee, marched from Jaleshwari Bazar on Sunday demanding multiple issues. They submitted a 7-point memorandum to the Ashighar police outpost which includes traffic control at various places on Eastern Bypass.
Shikha Chatterjee said that the road has been paved on behalf of SJDA. However, no street lights and police barricades have been set up there till now. She also raised questions about giving trade licenses to illegal shops.
